About This Instrument
The Life Crafting Scale measures how intentionally people create meaningful life experiences. It captures three proactive meaning-making behaviors: Cognitive Crafting (reframing life in terms of contribution and purpose), Seeking Social Support (actively asking others for help and guidance), and Seeking Challenges (pursuing growth through demanding activities). The instrument was developed as a concise, multidimensional measure of overall life crafting.
