About This Instrument
The General Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (GASE) assesses beliefs about one’s capacity to organise and execute actions needed to achieve academic goals. It captures how confident students feel about managing difficult academic problems, sticking to their aims, and performing in exams. The scale is unidimensional, psychometrically robust, and has demonstrated longitudinal invariance and criterion validity across multiple samples.
